The memory of Joan M. Karner (Grand Forks, North Dakota), who passed away on November 29, 2024 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Joan leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Palmer Egeland and Alice Egeland; and her brother Frank. She is survived by: her husband Frank; her sisters, Julie Gladstone and Jan Cronin; and her children, Kathy Bourret (Scott) of Palm City, FL, Deb Piche (Tom), Sandy Baranick (Kelly) of Lino Lakes, MN, Judy Rue (Kevin) of Rochert, MN and Jim Karner (Kris). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Evangelical Free Church (1400 24th Ave S, Grand Forks, ND 58201). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
