With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen J. Nelson of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on September 6, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Torgerson and Anne Torgerson (Hegland); her husband Dale; and her sons, Chris, Eddie and Danny.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Bjerk (Dean), Billie Jo Bayne (Kim) of Oslo, MN and Darcy Berg (Rick); her grandchildren, Amber, Lee, Nichole, Jared, Carrie, Cheryl, Christina, Amanda, Joseph, Taylor and Chelsey; her sisters, Ruth Anderson of Grand Forks and Jean Thompson of Grand Forks; and her sister-in-law Deanna Asay. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
