He is survived by: his sisters, Linda Reed (Ken) of Pembina, ND, Kathy Peterson (Wayne) of Littleton, CO, Cindy Edwards-Hoks (David) of Grand Forks, ND and Laurie Edwards (Rob Coope) of Magnolia, DE; his nieces, Andrea Edwards of Cottage Grove, MN and Kathy Phelps of Pembina, ND; and his stepgrandson Vash Swenson.

“Be the things you love the most about people who are gone. See you on the 1st tee my friends. Remembering him is easy, I'll do it every day. A 1000 words won't bring him back so this is what I have to say. Teardrops came easy today. Gary reached the end of his road 5/19/22. Two years & 10 days after the death of brother Greg I cherished my time with Greg and Gary. Gratitude.That’s what does it for me. It helps me to endure and I have so many reasons to be grateful.
