He was predeceased by: his father Stephen T. Slominski; and his grandparents, John, Regina Mesheske (Skibitski), William and Mary Slominski (Ginter).
He is survived by: his mother Evelyn R. Slominski (Mesheske); his siblings, Jackie Holter (Mitch), Shelly Pecka (Calvin) and Joel Slominski (Susan); his close friend Sandra Mahar of Mesa, AZ; his children, Stacey Schultz (Matt) of Lanesboro, MN, Brian Slominski of Ardoch, ND, Cary Slominski (Hannah) of Hudson, IA and Gregory Slominski (Andrea) of Belgrade, MT; his grandchildren, Dionte, Stephan, Jarek and Lauren Schultz; his children, Eli, Cora Slominski, Luke, Hayley, Tessa and Olin Douglas Slominski; and also Jody Slominski (Hoverson).
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Timothy's Catholic Church (1207 Oldham Ave, Manvel, ND 58256). A Mass was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw, ND, where he was baptized and laid to rest; St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Manvel, ND, a lifelong member; Manvel Legion Post #299; and/or Hospice of the Red River Valley, whose compassion allowed Doug to fulfill his wish of spending his final days at home on the farm.
