With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Brian James Darby of Grand Forks, North Dakota, born in Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on July 26, 2024 at the age of 44. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Carl Darby and Donna Darby (Miller); his siblings, Michael Darby (Jardely), Carol Williams (Ryan) and Tammy Vanderwoude (Sam); his nephews, Jacob Williams and Lucas Vanderwoude; and his niece Elise Vanderwoude.
He also made numerous contributions to other projects throughout the campus community, she said.
