He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nielsen and Bernice Nielsen (Flink); his parents-in-law, Mildred Rudrud and Glenn Rudrud; and his brother-in-law Bud Mutcher.
He is survived by: his children, Paige Sims (Bryan) of Fargo, ND and Johannes Nielsen of Grand Forks, ND; his granddaughter Emmalyn; and his sisters, Kathy Mutcher and Arlys Slusar (Paul) of Grand Forks, ND. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
