He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Mielke and Rose Mielke (Luedtke); his wife Lila Kaldor; and his sister Marlene (Gorder). He is survived by: his children, Scott of Phoenix and Barbara (Janzen) of Lyndhurst; his grandchildren, Alexis, Justus, Carolyn, Elyse and Luke; and his siblings, Mary Ann Lindell (Alfred) of Park River, ND, Norma Kotyk (Ted), Brainerd, Charles (Rita) and Jon (Carol).
He died of complications associated with the COVID-19 virus.
