She was predeceased by: her parents, James Houska and Mary Houska (Schiller); her husband Bernard Novak; her brother James Houska; and her parents-in-law, Edward Gourde, Dorothy, Rodney Franson, Edith, Joe Kovarik and Arnie Freije.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Novak of Grafton, ND, Dale Novak (Twila) of Grafton, ND and Marvin Novak of Grand Forks, ND; her sister Mary Lou Gourde; and her sisters-in-law, Lillian Houska of Grafton, ND, Jeanie Freije of Warroad, MN and Judy Fuller (George) of Mandan, ND. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
