It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A Janikowski of Grafton, North Dakota, who passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Janikowski and Myrtle Janikowski (Strand); his son Allen; and his grandson Christopher Janikowski. He is survived by: his wife Rita Dusek; his children, Cathy Janikowski of Bismarck, ND, Myra Howard (Mark) of Grand Forks, ND, Brian Janikowski (Michelle) of Grafton, ND, Cecilia LaHaise (Rick) of Grafton, ND and Todd Janikowski (Roxanne) of Grafton, ND; his grandchildren, Darren Eng, Laura Kasprick (Corey), Barett Eng (Heidi), Ryan Eng, Megan Ellefson (Jake), Brock Janikowski, Savannah Spartz (Andrew) and Joshua Howard; his siblings, Donald Janikowski (Yvonne) and Mary Ann Frieze of Eugene, OR; and his close friend Phyllis Campbell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.
