He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Thompson and Anna Thompson (Egeland); his wife Ann Larson; his siblings, Clarice and Richard; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Thompson, Victor Johnson, Francis, Roy, Dennis, Edward, Donald, Henry, Randy Larson, Joyce Mattson, Lois Chounard and Eileen Siewert.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Ebertowski (Duane) and Michael Thompson (Cindy) of Grafton; his grandsons, Steven Ebertowski (Nicole) of Aurora, CO, Matthew Ebertowski of Grafton, ND and Bryan Arroyo (Megan Bramble) of Boise, ID.; and his sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Judy Irvin (George).
Memorials in honor of Harlan may be given to the Unity Hospital Foundation, Lutheran Sunset Home or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
