He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry O. Skorheim and Tilda Skorheim (Johnson); his wife Thelma Vogsland; and his brothers, Kenneth, Henry "Bud", Dennis, Harvey and Ray. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Bethel Free Lutheran Church.
