He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Papenfuss and Mae Papenfuss (Lillico). He is survived by: his wife Carol Jackson; his close friend Norma Shearer of Minot, ND; and his children, Chris Papenfuss (Rebecca) of West Fargo, ND and Jana Theisen (Austin) of Grand Forks, ND.
