He is survived by: his children, Linda Gietzen (Glenn) of Halliday, Lorraine Scherman of Beach, Terrance Scherman of Cedar Rapids and Dale Scherman (Denise) of Ottertail, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Christopher Gietzen (LeAnne), Michael Gietzen (Ashley), Matthew Gietzen, Donna Mathis (JD), Rachael Dolechek (Dan), Veronica Tijerina (Erick), Jason Scherman (Carmen) and Ryan Scherman (Jill); his great grandchildren, Justice, Dante, Sirena, Jaxen, Tré, Terric, Sheridan, Isabelle, Charlie Rose, Alaina, Josephine, Destin, Taryn, Wyatt, Annah, Selah and Adiah; and his sisters, Eileen Goroski (Jim) and Louise Paul.
