He is survived by: his daughters, Alyssa and Carli; his grandchildren, Alyssa Gessele (Chris) of Bismarck and Carli Dravitz (James) of Fargo; his siblings, Diane McKiernan, Sandra Giroux, Christine Hermes-Parker, Duane Hermes, Rosemarie Kuntz and Gene Hermes; and his grandchildren, Cohen, Nash, Hayes and Jordan.
