He was predeceased by: his father Curtis Metz; his siblings-in-law, Ralph and Elsie Pound; his grandson Jordan Goldade; his grandparents, John, Martha Jungling, Otto and Lydia Metz; his nephew Nicholas Pound; and his niece Becky Huston.

He is survived by: his former spouse Herbert Mautz; his son Randy (Danny); his wife Maggie; his daughters, Michele Seidler (Torrey), Melinda Peterson (Samuel), Melissa Lauer (Corey) and Melanie Heinzen (Ward); his grandchildren, Megan Bender (Ethan), Justin, Alyssa (Matt), Tucker Seidler, Zachary Goldade, Hunter, Hayden Lauer, Abigail, Nicholas and Nolan Heinzen; his great grandchildren, McKinley and Maisey Bender; his mother Ramona Mautz (Jungling); his siblings, Kathy Jerome (Rick), Brenda Huston (Steve), Steve Metz (Terri), Randy Mautz (Darla) and Danny Mautz (Cindy); his brother-in-law Donnie Pound (Debbie); and his aunt Delores Luedke. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
