It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Birkholz (Garrison, North Dakota), who passed away on February 14, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David; her parents, Ole Ostby and Erna Ostby; her brothers, Norman Ostby and Vernon Ostby; her siblings-in-law, Jay Foree, Fred Mohn, Bernard Bendickson, Norman Pigeon, Edwin Birkholz, Roy Lucas, Adeline Birkholz and Lorraine Lucas; her nephew Steven Ostby; and her great-nephew Alex Bendickson.
She is survived by: her sisters, Carol Foree, Audrey Mohn, Lora Bendickson and LeAnn Watson; her siblings-in-law, Celesta Ostby of Garrison, ND, Patricia Ostby of Garrison, ND and Melvin Birkholz (Pat) of Garrison, ND; and her close friends, Dee and Marj Edwards. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donor's charity of choice.
