With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Hummel (Garrison, North Dakota), born in Minot, North Dakota, who passed away on April 26, 2020 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen Hummel to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Underdahl and Bertha Underdahl; and her husband Edwin Nathan. She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Bergsgaard (Donnie), Elaine Hanley, LaVonne Mercure (Jerry) of Aurora, CO, Cheryl Brown (Mike) of Lenexa, KS and Duane Hummel (Julie); and her grandchildren, Carrie Randolph, Justin Bergsgaard, Roger Hanley, Anna Mertz, Bryce Hummel, Jessica Hummel, Kacey Brown and Lauren Brown. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also involved with the Ft. Stevenson Foundation, Heritage Park Foundation, served on the election board, and was very active in community activities with her children.
