It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Vanderwerff (Garrison, North Dakota), who passed away on August 29, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Nelson and Susanna Nelson; her husband John Sr.; her son John Jr.; her sisters, Lois and Betty; her nephew Brian; her parents-in-law, Charles and Effie Vanderwerff; and her close friend Raymond St Vincent (Ray).
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan (Suzi) of Texas and Raeanne (RaeRae) of Garrison; her grandchildren, Joe Swiontek, Wanda Engness, Jessica Kelley, Renee Wilm, Anthony Swiontek, Andrew Swiontek, Kelly Mews, Brittany St Vincent and Courtney Holland; and her great grandchildren, Nicole Swiontek, Alexander Swiontek, Issak Engness, Ryan Swatzell, Bernadette Kelley, Morgan Wilm, Hayden Wilm, Gaige Swiontek, Shelby Swiontek, Deklyn Swiontek, Easlyn Swiontek, Levi Mews, Hendrix Andropolis, Arylean Parker and Marceline St Vincent.
