He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig "Luke" Gehring and Freeda Gehring (Robbins); his sister Marlene; and his brothers-in-law, Milo Mautz, Bill Crossland and Ray Dushek.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Bold; his children, Jeff (Tracy) of Cottage Grove, MN, Todd (Michelle), Brian (Kim), Ben (Collette) and Karri Street (David) of Ferndale, WA; his grandchildren, Sarah Chase (Matt), Jessica Gehring, Drew Gehring (Emily Wilson), Luke Gehring, Shelby Gehring (Michael Hatzenbuhler), Ellie Jacobs (Hunter), Gage, Mia Gehring, McKayla, Brandon and Daniel Brummer; his sister Donna Mae Dushek; and his great grandchildren, McCall, Palmer and Brees Chase. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
