He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Fliginger and Hazel Fliginger (Lareu); his former wife Jeannette Kupietz; his siblings, Lloyd, Les, Harlan, Wayne, Eldon, Ervin, Howard and Arlene Grant; his stepson Tony Benfer; and his granddaughter Jennifer.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Jackie, Susan Steinwand (Graling), Shelly Ranz (Rob), Delmar "Bud" Fliginger (Laurie), Julie Sleeper (Scott) and Jeff Fliginger (Mel); his stepchildren, Becky Johnson, Bobbie Krueger (Fred), Bonnie Kimball (Andy) and Patty Koelzer (Bob); his sister Lorraine Klain; and his siblings-in-law, Jerome Kupietz, Junelle Hanks and Jayne Leight. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
