He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Torgusen and Judy Torgusen (Fredrickson); and his children, Benjamin Johnson, Judith Weiskopf and Janet Wherley.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Rothenberger; and his children, James A. (Mary), Jean Kolden (Terry) of Roseglen, ND and Andrew Johnson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
