It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dwight Schmidt (Gackle, North Dakota), who passed away on January 24, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frieda Schmidt (Gienger) and Eldo Schmidt; his grandparents, John, Christina Schmidt, Jacob and Christina Gienger; and his stepgrandmother Eva Schmidt.
He is survived by: his siblings, Gordon Schmidt (Colleen), Connie Fischer, Diana Schmidt (Butch Sanders) and Janell Schmidt; his nephews, Shawn Schmidt (Angelica), Melbourne, Jason Schmidt (Kelly), Seoul, Curtis Fischer, Jr. (Karen) and Lee Fischer; and his niece Christina Exner (Eric). He is also survived by his great-nephews, great-nieces, and his extended family and friends.
