He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoistad and Mabel Hoistad (Larson); his son Blaine; and his siblings, Alda Kohler (Bill), Einar, Audrey Pearson (Marvin), Ernest, Quentin, John, Jane and Judi Hoistad.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Eikamp; his children, Rick (Jeanne) of Forman, Debra (Jo) of San Diego, CA, Keith (Pamela) of Lisbon and Darren (Susan) of Havana; his siblings, Virgil Hoistad (Donnetta) of Moorhead, MN, Jean Haughvedt of Moorhead, MN and Marlene Maeser (Bob) of Victoria, MN; his sister-in-law Doris Hoistad of Forman; and his grandchildren, Brad Hoistad of Forman, Tyler Hoistad of Sioux Falls, SD, Becky Layman of Indianapolis, IN, Teresa Teal of Milwaukee, WI, Michele Hoistad of Sheridan, WY, Erin Nathan of Chicago, IL and Mandy Hoistad of Onawa, IA.. He is also survived by seven grand-children; four great-grandchildren.
