He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Litchfield and Irene McGregor; his stepfather John McGregor; and his sister Janet Olderness. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Litchfield of Forman; his children, Mitchell Litchfield, Jr. (Danielle) of Aberdeen, SD, Rayanne Schaefer (Matt) of Oakes, ND and Sarah Zink (Lance) of Fort Morgan, CO; his grandchildren, Catherine Callaway (Andrew), Lucas Litchfield (Kelsey Fliehs), Isabella Litchfield, Lily Litchfield, Seth Schaefer (Maddie Huffman), Cloe Schaefer and Joseph Schaefer; his great grandchild Elleana Callaway; and his brothers, Gale Litchfield of Astoria, OR, Curtis Litchfield (Lynda) and Michael Litchfield (Vickie) of Orting, WA..
