Irene N. Schanilec Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Irene N. Schanilec of Forest River, North Dakota, born in Grafton, North Dakota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kiedrowski and Dominica Kiedrowski (Minnie Gornowicz); her husband Eugene Schanilec; her siblings, Leonarda Riske, Lucille Votava, Julian, Dennis and Adrian Kiedrowski; and her siblings-in-law, Steve Riske, Ewald Votava, Dick Steen, Genevieve Barta, Joyce Schanilec, Bernice Schanilec, Leonard Barta and Herman Schanilec (Sonny).

She is survived by: her children, Rod Schanilec (Joan) of Minto, ND, Merita Steinbrueck (Ed) of Eden Prairie, MN, Colleen Samson (Paul) of Park River, ND, Brad Schanilec (Nadine) of Forest River, ND, Janelle Schanilec of Fargo, ND and Brian Schanilec (Kelly) of Forest River, ND; her sisters, Evelyn Lizakowski (Ernest) of Grand Forks, ND, Yvonne Steen of Big Lake, MN, Janet Loeblein (Jack) of River Falls, WI and Janice Sanders (Thomas) of Lonsdale, MN; and her siblings-in-law, Ione Kiedrowski of Lake Ridge, VA, Doris Kiedrowski of Long Beach, CA, Ernest Schanilec of Donna, TX, Vernon Schanilec (Faye) of Washougal, WA and Connie McDonald (Jack) of Bismarck, ND. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
