He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Knutson Ness and Tina Marie Ness (Dale); his wife Ellen Satrom Keller; his brother George Ness (Marion); and his siblings-in-law, Barbiece Ness and Jerry Hill.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Dean Keller (Cathy) of Austin, TX and Sandra Sauvageau (Dean) of Fargo; his grandchildren, Mike Keller of Austin, Corey Keller (Jess) of Austin, Nicole Broady (Cambrick) of Newnan, GA, Todd Sauvageau (Darci) of Forest Lake, MN and Jill Staffne (Brian) of West Fargo; and his siblings, Marvin Ness of Fargo, Truman Ness (Carol) of Fordville, Kenneth Ness (Mavis) of Grand Forks, ND, Maridell Hill of Aberdeen, WA and Marlys Bye of Portland, OR. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
