He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf Gross and Christine Gross (Rudel); his wife Evelyn Gross; his foster son Freddie Entze; and his siblings, Donald, Kenneth, Edna Krueger, LaVerne Arndt, Esther Danielson and Margaret Kuske.
He is survived by: his son Grant Gross; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Cobb (Lisa); his grandson Noah Gross of Laurel, Maryland; and his daughter Twila Gross (Antwone White) of Crystal. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
