It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Joel Ertelt of Fessenden, North Dakota, born in Valley City, North Dakota, who passed away on December 20, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Ertelt and Mabel Ertelt (Hannig); and his brother Bob (Judy). He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Lou Peters (Robert) of Bemidj, MN and Lisa Carlson (Clare); and his nieces and nephews, Barbara Peters (Jerry Arnold) of Denver, CO, Michele Hoss (Mike), Mitch Ertelt (Kristy) of Fargo, ND and Steve Peters (Heidi). He is also survived by six great nieces and nephews.
CDC recommendations including social distancing, cleansing of hands, staying away if not feeling well and wearing a mask are required.
In lieu of flowers, as Dick would have wished, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
