He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Widiger and Pauline Widiger (Bender); his siblings, Carl and Ella Gebhard; his daughter-in-law Tina Widiger; and his daughter Linda.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Owen; his children, Gary, William (Laverne), Rodney, Keith (Mary), Betty Widiger and Mary Martin (Troy); and his sister-in-law Marlys Olschlager. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
