He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Flaa and Frances Flaa (Alexander); his brother Steiner; his sister-in-law LaRue Flaa; his nephew Jeffrey Ditch; his grandson Anders Flaa; his parents-in-law, Irwin and Beatrice Johnson; and his brother-in-law Paul Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Rae Ann Johnson; his son Brad Flaa (Marsha); his granddaughters, Hannah, Annika and Mollie; and his nieces and nephews, Nancy Wulfekuhle (Joe), Jody Bergman (Tim), Kim Mitchell, Mike Flaa (Aimee) and Mike Johnson (Susan).
