She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn and Harry Schmidt. She is survived by: her husband Allan Nelson; her children, Sheree Weisz, Heidi Wrenson (Carleen Bedoway) and Steve Nelson (Joanne Schultz); her siblings, Crystal Davis (Bill), Rev. Peter Schmidt (Vicki), Lynette Kehler (Chuck) and Mike Schmidt (Deb); and her grandchildren, Emerald Weisz, Radek Weisz, Evelyn Wrenson and Ruby Beckman. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, and 20 grandnieces and nephews.
Together they battled the Parkinson's disease that Allan fought daily for more than 10 years. Their participation in the Parkinson's group connected her to spouses going through everything that she was dealing with, including the loss of a spouse.
