He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamilton Hamer and Ruby Hamer; his wife Ruth Molsberry; his grandson Shawn Teiken; and his pet Bullet.
He is survived by: his children, George Hamer (Julie), Elizabeth Schroetke (Albert Nelmapius), Susan Korman (Marshall) and Michael Hamer (Beth); his grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Rohaley, Katie Doll (Logan), Aaron Korman (Casey), Emily Henning (Matt), Ethan Hamer, Owen Hamer and Kegan Nelmapius (Kelley); his great grandchildren, Raymond Peters, Wynn Teiken and Ryker Rohaley; his grandchildren, Sadie, Olivia Korman, Carter, Parker Henning, Roman, Ezekial and Isaiah Nelmapius; and his close friend James Royce Whiteowl. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and loving friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home (215 7th St S, Fargo, ND 58103). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Fargo National Cemetery (8712 40th Ave NW, Harwood, ND 58042).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN or to Fargo VA Health Care System Palliative Care.
