He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Braaten and Mollie Braaten (Huus); and his siblings, Eugene Braaten, Ardell Braaten, Reuben Braaten (Frances), Gladys Aasen (Ernest) and Delores Braaten.
He is survived by: his wife Edie Satrom; and his children, Brenda (Ron Ingram) of Champlin, MN, Debbie (Craig Johnson) of West Fargo, ND and Rod Braaten (Nicole) of Moorhead, MN. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
