He was predeceased by: his parents, Johannes "Joe" Geston and Gudrun "Gunna" Geston (Thomasson). He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his son Douglas (Mary Kay); his grandchildren, Andrew Geston (Shadi Memarian) and Marit Ripley (Ryan); his son Scott (Cindy); his grandchildren, Tori Bown (Jon) and Jonas Geston; his son Christopher Geston (Laurie); his grandsons, Gunnar and Bennett; his great grandchildren, John, Margot Ripley and Scarlett Bown; his sister Paula; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Heigaard and Marian Halgrimson Fagerholt. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home (215 7th St S, Fargo, ND 58103). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
