He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Gunderson and Laura Gunderson (Dvergsten); his son Brian; his siblings, Adeline Nordheim (Gunderson), Marjorie Gunderson, Lawrence and Donald; his daughter-in-law Mary Gunderson; his grandson Luke Gunderson; his brothers-in-law, Ted Nordheim and Gerald Gunderson; and his stepson-in-law Philip Dow.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Plante; his children, Gregg of Fargo, ND, Kimberly Faul (Marvin) of Horace, ND and Velvet Sunderland (Gary) of Durham, NC; his stepdaughters, Lisa Hall (Rick) of Pembina, ND and Jodi Soderberg (Tobey) of Buxton, ND; his grandchildren, Matthew (Madeline), Jesse (Hope), Trevor Faul, Serena, Connor, Taryn Clark (Allen), Morgan Ford (Garrett), Quinn Sunderland and Noah Gunderson; his stepgrandchildren, Kenneth, Nathaniel, Madalynn Dow, Connor Swope and Alexis Penn; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Levi, Hayden, Peyton, Rowan Gunderson, Russell and Walter Faul; his stepgreat-grandson Brayden; his great grandchildren, Natalia, Alexis, Mersadee, Kimber, Georgia Faul and Elise Gunderson; his brother Arnold of Ada, MN; his sisters-in-law, Joan Gunderson and Gwen Gunderson of Fergus Falls, MN; and also Marvin Gunderson of Laguna Niguel, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
