Marie Engen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Engen in Fargo, North Dakota, born in Viking, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Halvorson and Gina Halvorson (Nelson); her husband Ron; her daughter-in-law Nina Engen; and her siblings, Alvin Halvorson (Nina), Marceline Gatchell (George), Lois Sorenson (Lester), Evodia Cook (Kenneth) and Veronica Moose (Glenn).
She is survived by: her children, Jerome Engen (Debra), Renee Henney (Myles) of St. Hilaire and Michael Engen of Arden Hills, MN; her grandchildren, Lezlie LaVoy (Jason), Jeremy Engen (Heather), Jason Engen (Robin), Brendon Engen, Adam Henney (Jaqueline), Stephanie Kava (Rob) and Kayla Molkenthin (Aaron); and her great grandchildren, Emily Engen, Andrew LaVoy, Sydney LaVoy, Grant Henney, Ayla Henney, Lucas Engen, Wylie Engen, Sawyer Engen and Rueben Molkenthin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service - Thief River (105 Governor St, Oklee, MN 56742). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (505 Main Ave N, Thief River Falls, MN 56701).
