He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Heyen and Dorothy Heyen (Nelson); his wife Astrid Sherbrook; and his siblings, Dick Heyen, James Heyen, Donald Heyen and Arlene Cooper (Heyen).
He is survived by: his children, Duane Heyen, Dennis Heyen, Richard Heyen, Paula Nelson (Heyen) and Darla Arvesen (Heyen); his stepchildren, Georgina Popam, Harold Sherbrooke (Linda), Pam Nunstad (Dave) and Carolyn Trombly; and his brothers, Darrell and Leonard Heyen. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
