With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavern Joseph Ouellette of Fargo, North Dakota, born in Dickinson, North Dakota, who passed away on January 15, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Ouellette and Cecelia Ouellette; his wife Evelyn Fugere; his son Gerard; his grandsons, Dallas Tessier and Rob Burfening; his great grandchild Haiden Ouellette; his great great grandchild Baylor Grant; and his sister Agnes.
He is survived by: his children, Gary (Betty) of Plymouth, MN, Rene (Sherri) of Devils Lake, ND, Lloyd (Sue), Brian (Diana), Brenda Carlson (John) of Fargo, ND, Pamela Finch (David) of Aurora, CO, Debbie Kroshus of Bismarck, ND, Colleen Burfening (Mike) of Grand Forks, ND and Valerie Mogard (Jerome) of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to be made to Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, SMP St. Catherine's South, or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
