She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Young and Alice Young (Kapaun); her husband Victor Knudson; her stepfather Ernest Kapaun; her siblings, Agatha Busse, Magdalen McGarry and Leland Young; and her stepbrother Rev. Neal Kapaun.

She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Sherven (Mark) and Valerie Schwartz (Randy); her granddaughter Heather Schuler (Nathan); her great grandchildren, Mason, Jack and Robert; her granddaughter Brittany Genereaux (Andre); her great grandchild Henri; her grandchild Blake Sherven (Alissa); her great grandchildren, Ella and Emery; her granddaughter Hailey Schwartz; her sister Ann Kapaun of Edina, MN.; her siblings-in-law, Jean Johnson of Henning, MN and Jerome Knudson (Charlene) of Hendersonville, NC; and her nieces, Pam Hartwig and Colleen Bjornstad.
