He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Jakobsen and Paula Jakobsen (Jensen); his wife Ella Kieffer; his sisters, Greta Algeo and Thyra Nagel; and his brothers-in-law, Elmer Peterson, Jim Algeo, Harland Nagel, Wayne Haverland and Dale Mackenzie.
He is survived by: his son Jørgen Jr.; his daughter-in-law Cindy Mazek (Kevin); his grandchildren, Amanda, Karl and Jens; and his sisters, Else Peterson of Muskegon, MI, Anna Haverland of Colfax, ND, Jenny Mackenzie and Aase Gowin (Bob) of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by several cousins in Denmark; and many nieces and nephews.
