John T. Irby Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2025, at the age of 93, John T. Irby Sr. of Fargo, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Irby and Helen Irby (Friend); his wife Jean Irby; his daughter LuAnn; his granddaughter Laura Sue; and his siblings, Lola Ilertson, Jim Irby, Edna Joy Thompson, Bill Irby and Joan Corkin.
He is survived by: his children, John Irby (Jan) of Casselton, ND, Carol McIntire (Don) of Hewitt, MN and Sue Hightower (Lance) of Terlton, OK; his grandchildren, Joe Irby of Moorhead, MN, Lindsey Bladow (Jeff) of Fargo, ND, Alex Tollefson of Moorhead, MN, RaeLee Hightower and Sterling Hightower of Tulsa, OK; his great grandchild Ember Bladow; and his siblings, Alma Boston, Bob Irby, Don Irby, Dennis Irby, Linda Patton and Larry Irby.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the West Funeral Home & Life Tribute Center (321 Sheyenne St, West Fargo, ND 58078). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Rainy River College Foundation for the LuAnn Irby Memorial Scholarship fund or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
