She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hefter and Eleanore Hefter (Fuchs); her husband Russell Mattson; and her sisters, Frances Gange, Eleanor Groth, Mary Lou Johnston and Veronica Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, James of Fargo, ND, Mark of Rock Lake, ND, Michael (Julie) of Denton, TX and Randy of Fargo, ND; her grandsons, Wesley of Grand Forks, ND and Aidan (Awki) of North Platte, NE; and her brothers, Jack Hefter of Palmdale, CA and Bill Hefter (Della) of Bainbridge, OH. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
