She was predeceased by: her parents, Emanuel Kleingartner and Otilla Kleingartner (Kuhn); her husband Earl Slater; her daughter Sharon Klein; her son-in-law Wade Ihry; and her grandsons, Jon Klein and Thomas Klein.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Slater (Becky) and Marilyn Ihry; her son-in-law Bob Klein; and her grandchildren, Jason Klein (Joan), Tracy Heinze (Bill), Mary Weiland (Carl), Brent Klein (Amy), Andrew Slater, Hannah Slater, Joshua Ihry (Laura), Kent Ihry and Dena Ihry. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

“I only knew Helen for a year but will miss her at coffee time at Park Avenue. She had spunk and I loved that about her! Loved listening to her stories when she was young raising her family. She BEAMED when she spoke of her family. Also, she loved her sweets. Always came to BINGO and never missed a number! I will always keep a special place in my heart for her.”
