She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Ertelt and Rose Ertelt; her husband Gerald Stangler; and her siblings, Bernadine Potter, Jeanette Ertelt and Roman Ertelt.
She is survived by: her great grandchild Gerald; her daughters, Dianne Gibb (Gregory), Mary Ann Stangler (Rokelle Lerner), Linda Dooher (Thomas) and Joan Eckrich (Mark); and her grandchildren, Julie Emerson (John), Theresa Newton (Nick), Dan Dooher (Ayako), Mary Anstadt (Jacob), Joe Dooher (Jamie), Garett, Claire and Rien Eckrich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the YWCA Women's Shelter, 3000 S University Dr, Fargo, ND 58103. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Dorothy Mae Stangler 's name.
