Cleo Maxine Berntson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cleo Maxine Berntson of Fargo, North Dakota, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Cleo Maxine find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

She was predeceased by: her father Lester Berntson; and her aunt Cathryn Huntsman. She is survived by: her mother Phyllis Berntson of Kulm, ND.; her brothers, Lowell (Carol) and Neal (Marla); and her daughter Kendra Peterson. She is also survived by six nieces, one nephew, and one great-nephew.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Atonement Lutheran Church (4601 S University Dr, Fargo, ND 58104). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
