He is survived by: his wife Sharon Freitag; his children, Jessica Freitag (Garrett) and Lucas Freitag; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Cashton, Princeton and Kaeson; his great grandchildren, Hendrix, Lyla and Ryland; his siblings, Rick Freitag (Nancy), Cheryle Haley and Sheila Massengale; his stepsons, Brad Lehmann (Karen), Kelly Lehmann (April) and Chris Lehmann; his stepgrandchildren, Kolden, Abby (Evan), Bailey (Crystal), Brandon, Jase, Josi and Graci; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Wyatt, Kam and Waylon; his in-laws, Larry "Duffer" Bernard (Kris), Sandy Bernard, Lois Leinen, Steve Bernard (Emmy), Tina Bernard, Monica Olson (Kip), Randy Bernard (Annie), Renae Machaledt (Wayne), Ray Bernard (Peggy) and Jane Matejcek; and his mother-in-law Esther Bernard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home (224 6th St N, Wahpeton, ND 58074). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
