He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebastian Hoffner and Theresa Hoffner (Gefroh); and his wife Eris Noem Gilbertson. He is survived by: his children, Darlene Soper (Larry) of Kennesaw, GA, Wayne Gilbertson (Denise) of Eugene, OR, Steven Gilbertson (Dina) of Devils Lake, ND, Michael Gilbertson and Lisa Weiss (Ronnie); and his siblings, Serenus Hoffner (Janet), Leander Hoffner (Jeanette) of Minot, ND and Carlotta Goldade. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
