He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Torbenson and Viola Torbenson; his parents-in-law, Lyle and Phyllis Nord; his brother Ronald Torbenson; and his siblings-in-law, Berwyn Schmidt and Debbie Torbenson.
He is survived by: his wife Paulette; his children, Dean Torbenson (Dawn) of Enderlin, ND, Heather Opheim (Trevor) of Fargo, ND and Greg Torbenson (Kristi) of Mesa, AZ; his grandchildren, Alyssa Baumann (Jeff), Shelby Braaten (Andrew), Whitney Opheim, Cooper Opheim, Jerrick Stern, Quentin Torbenson and Truman Torbenson; his great grandchildren, Ivy, Briggs Baumann, Eli, Theo and Owen Braaten; his brothers, Robert Torbenson and Bruce; and his sisters-in-law, Julie Nord, Gayle Schmidt and Kathy Torbenson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church (326 Bluff St, Enderlin, ND 58027). A prayer will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
