He was predeceased by : his mother Grace Isabel Stanley; his brother Jerry Carlson; his sister-in-law Jan Carlson; and his sisters, Joan Valvo and Jeanette Carlson.
He is survived by : his wife Beverly A. Hopkins; his children, Bruce (Susan) of Valley City, ND, Todd (Cheryl) of Milnor, ND and Jayne Ekre (Blaine) of Otsego, MN.; and his brothers, Larry (Ruth) and David (Patty). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
