She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ruddy and Carmen "LuLu" Ruddy (Beisker); and her siblings, Marilyn Burgeson, Tom Ruddy, Peggy Kiel and Susan Melville.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Fichtner; her children, Vycki Mehs (Darren), John Fichtner (Jennifer) and Christie Swalek (Jay); her sisters, Carmen Jorgenson and Rita Kirwin; her grandchildren, Leigh, Alex (Katie), Amy Mehs, Anne, Daniel Swalek, Parker and Adam Fichtner; and her great grandchildren, Paisley, McKenna Mehs and Rebekah Swalek.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Northwood Deaconess Hospital, Northwood, ND.
